IntroductionIt has been 2 weeks now since our return from our 10 day vacation of which 7 was spent onboard the Carnival Luminosa cruise ship. We spent time in Alaska primarily with a couple stops in Canada as well. Additionally, we spent 3 days total in Seattle prior to and after our cruise to savor a bit of the Emerald City while in the area. I wont go too much into that here as this newsletter is of course, all about the CV area and all that goodness. Check out my personal Facebook page to see the details of the cruise if interested. But, now that I have had time to get back to the normal groove of things and settle back into local happenings, I have a packed edition to share with you all with some new changes, formatting and flow to the newsletter to make it easier to read and see what's up in the CV for all your food and drink cravings and needs in one place. CV Food News and EventsNana's Sweet Shop is now open! Tall Guys Burgers & Fries is now open! I turn the big 4-0 on Sept 5th! Celebrations to take place the 6th at Cork & Pig, Invino Veritas, SoCo, and, La Sirena Cocktails Roots at The Silo just released its new menu! The next Chicken Farm Art Center hosted First Saturday is on Sept 7th. Food, fun, art, music, and kids activities! The Concho Valley Farmers Market continues this Saturday from 7am to sell out! Rain or shine, the shows goes on! The 49th Annual Taste of San Angelo is taking place on Sept 10th at Spur Arena Chef Jason of Peasant Village has just posted his new fall menu and wow does it look good! ChangeI will be pausing the YouTube Channel for a while for one simple reason; time. I am as you likely know by now, a very busy guy. Making the time to set these up, go film them onsite, edit them, upload them, all takes time which I truly don't have at present. The good news is that I will be taking short form clips of my videos and posting more Reels and storylines to both my Instagram and the Facebook Group now. I will be doing YouTube Shorts (30-60 seconds clips) however so all is not lost! Local Food ShowcasesThe latest major food finds and visits I came across in town recently are at MASA Sushi, Kung Fu Noodle, Tacos Locos, and Tall Guys Burgers & Fries*. I have been to all of these many, many times before and always find myself pleased. This was no different. Take a look at the dishes my family and I got to try on these recent visits. She fell onto my radar weeks ago after meeting her at the (seasons final) Paintbrush Alley hosted Night Market at the Zone where she had her tent set up selling uniquely flavored, genuine, slow fermentation sourdough breads of which I have been totally hooked on ever since.
