I want to make sure you all have at least some general awareness to my other social media platform where I showcase almost all things fitness, health, wellness, exercise, research, and nutrition to. Do It Myself

I gave my second go at using my cabinet smoker this weekend for football Saturday and Sunday. 10lbs of legs as follows...

Seasoned with Hard Core Carnivore chili lime spice and stored overnight in the fridge. Then smoked at 275 degrees for 2 hours uncovered using mesquite chips. I let them sit in the smoker minus any heat for 20 minutes and pulled them out to cool a few more. They turned out great but I frankly liked the spice rub I used last time a bit more. My plan to is try a new meat, marinade, and/or spice rub every weekend now through the end of the year with no other major travel then the holidays to plan around.


Local Food/Drink Highlights

My favorite local wine bar had its 5 year anniversary celebration and ribbon cutting this past Friday and it was amazing! Never have I seen so many people inside (and outside) In Vino Veritas before. The city sure came out in droves to show its love of this great place. It has a true Cheers like feel it where everyone knows your name and your are always welcome no matter who you are of what you know about wine. I also want to be sure people know about their very well crafted charcuterie boards you can get here as well! See my brief onsite video I did while attending the event. New Dishes

The latest new local dish we found was at Urban Salt Kitchen & Bar with their braised beef beef rib entree. As my wife and I found on a recent visit while stopping in for dinner. Knowing how good the one at Cork & Pig is, we had to know if this one could compare in size and quality as well. Our take is that is does on every level. Who's truly better? Hard to tell without a side by side head, to head taste test. Go try both yourself and be the judge of that. You cant really loose either way. This one is $28 and is served with mashed potatoes and green beans.

Introduction It has been 2 weeks now since our return from our 10 day vacation of which 7 was spent onboard the Carnival Luminosa cruise ship. We spent time in Alaska primarily with a couple stops in Canada as well. Additionally, we spent 3 days total in Seattle prior to and after our cruise to savor a bit of the Emerald City while in the area.
