San Angelo Local List

In this video clip, listen/watch my casual chat with my good friend and co-owner of SA To Go and SA Local List Carson Beavers. Here you get the inside scoop of who I am, why I do this foodie thing at all and what else am I up to outside of my life as a traveling wine, and food fanatic. Click here to watch.

Homemade Eats

This past week I tried an amazingly spectacular chicken fried steak in Albuquerque NM, with my wife while attending a big wine festival up there. I have not had one in several months and this put the idea of trying to make my own at home, a priority. I got to work and used a simple recipe I had from a fellow foodie friend of mine and here is what came about. This was my first attempt ever at making a CFS and I think I did alright. Wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this meal. The beef was bought from local farmers market vendor WT Beef Co. The seasoning was from The Shed Market in Abilene. Dish made with sides of mashed potatoes and sauteed zucchini.

Keeping Things In The CV

Something I have had to think long and hard about before building this newsletter was weather or not to create and distribute an edition that would be 75% content external to the Concho Valley. On one had the pictures and videos and insights I have are rich, catchy, genuine, and worth sharing. But on the other hand, the venues featured are no place close to the CV, west Texas, or Texas at all for that matter. I ultimately decided that I can have it both ways with a catch. I can continue to share any and all content I collect on distant travels regarding food, wine, beer, and lodging with all of you. Just not through this newsletter or the Group FB page. It does not fit with the intent or theme of either platform. That being said, I can and will be sharing all such content on my own personal Facebook page and my Instagram page. Anyone here is welcome to peak at both places to see those elements of my not so local travel finds. This newsletter and the Group FB page will move forward with a more narrow focus of only those features I come across that relate to local CV region food and drink and lodging venues. I will even extent this a little bit from time to time to account for those day trips or weekend getaways that fall within a 2 hour drive or less. Offering you readers a chance to learn about a few worthy little trips you can take in a day or any given weekend.

FYI

MusclesNmorsels.com is now

MusclesNmorsels.net

I have decided to close down my WordPress site and blog and put everything under one roof. MusclesNmorsels.net is now my one-stop shop for my newsletter, landing page, and article features. This is to streamline all the tasty content I share with you. You can also look up links to all my past featured local articles on this site so go on, take a look!

Want to be listed here? Have content you think would fit within these headings? Send it along to me at musclesnmorsels@gmail.com for review and who knows... you may just see it in the next newsletter!

2025 Kickoff Email Newsletter I am taking a new approach this year to the newsletter email that you all subscribe to (thank you for that!) with a more shorthand form of what is going on in the CV food and drink scene. I will do my best to put out a short and brief weekly update of the new places I have been and am going in the coming week. I will even include places I have been to before but try new dishes or items at since its still new in a sense. I have gotten busy and remain quite busy...

Introduction It has been 2 weeks now since our return from our 10 day vacation of which 7 was spent onboard the Carnival Luminosa cruise ship. We spent time in Alaska primarily with a couple stops in Canada as well. Additionally, we spent 3 days total in Seattle prior to and after our cruise to savor a bit of the Emerald City while in the area. I wont go too much into that here as this newsletter is of course, all about the CV area and all that goodness. Check out my personal Facebook page to...
